Sue Fish joined Norfolk County Council’s Legal Services Department in 1999 taking up the position of legal officer within the property team in 2007. In June 2017 Sue became a senior legal officer within the team.
Sue’s case work comprises charge work for Norfolk County Council’s Adult Social Services, improvement loans for Broadland and other district councils and, since the introduction of the new Care Act in 2015, deferred payment charges. She deals with any redemptions resulting from the charges and any cancellations for various clients. She deals with Right to Buy transactions for one of the district councils.
Sue examines official copies of registered property titles together with any further evidence necessary to secure a charge. In the case of unregistered property she examines title deeds carrying out the first registration of the property where necessary. She is a daily user of the Land Registry Portal, carrying out electronic searches for various clients, obtaining titles and registering and discharging charges online.
Sue also carries out work on Norfolk County Council’s Voluntary Land Registration Project and has experience of Norfolk County Council’s deeds database and the storage and recovery of its deeds.Back to Our People page >
