Sophie specialises in providing legal advice and support to Norfolk County Council’s Adult Social Care Services. Her work includes: mental capacity and best interests, adult safeguarding, deprivation of liberty and welfare applications to the Court of Protection, inquests and mental health; and defending judicial reviews in these areas of law.
Sophie graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2008 with a degree in Adult Nursing and worked as an Accident and Emergency nurse for seven years whilst studying the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course. She gained experience as a litigation assistant working on behalf of the NHS Litigation Authority before completing her training contract in private practice. Sophie joined nplaw’s public law team in September 2017.
