Role: Sebastian commenced his career at nplaw in January 2018, and currently works in the property, planning and environment departments. His workload consists of assisting fee earners in the production of agreements, contracts and leases; conducting Land Registry searches, ordering reports for due diligence in conveyancing; interpreting land title ownership; arranging training for lawyers; diary management; overseeing the sealing and execution of various legal documents and maintaining the Council’s seal register; co-ordinating with nplaw’s other departments to ensure timely responses under the Parish Council subscription service; as well as payment of invoices; arranging CHAPS and BACS payments; and facilitating access to the Council’s deeds for fee earners.
Background: Sebastian is currently undertaking the Legal Practitioners’ Course and Master of Laws at BPP Law School, Cambridge. He graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2017 with a 2:1 LL.B (Hons), achieving first class results in employment and discrimination law amongst others. Sebastian intends to practice in this area as a solicitor in the not-too-distant future. Able to read and write Arabic, and being fluent in German as his mother tongue, he brings a diverse set of skills to nplaw which complement his enthusiastic and engaging character.
When not studying or working, Sebastian frequents the gym (far less than he would like to), and takes his dog Charlie for walks (far less than Charlie would like to).
