Sarah joined nplaw as a trainee solicitor in October 2015, she qualified as a solicitor in December 2017 and joined nplaw’s dispute resolution team on qualification. Her case load is varied but centred on civil and commercial litigation.
She regularly advises and represents a variety of local authorities in the County Court, Magistrates’ Court, and High Court as well as a claim in the Court of Appeal, the judgment on which dealt with an important point on the new Civil Penalty process. Sarah has also represented local authorities in the First Tier (Property) Tribunal.
In addition, her case load includes:
• gypsy & traveller matters;
• insolvency/ bankruptcy / debt;
• landlord and tenant claims;
• judicial reviews;
• advising schools on claims both against them and against others;
• clerking school appeals.
Sarah has previously represented the local authority in SEN tribunals and rates avoidance disputes to recover large amounts of unpaid business rates.Back to Our People page >
