Kate first started her legal career in 2004, working in private practice. She studied whilst working and qualified as a legal executive, specialising in family and childcare law. She joined the Norfolk County Council Legal Services Child Protection Team in 2009, and qualified as a solicitor in January 2014.
Kate spent many years advising Children’s Services in relation to private and public children law matters, including care orders, special guardianship, adoption, international matters, forced marriage and appeals to the Court of Appeal. Kate regularly appeared in court representing the Local Authority.
Kate joined the Public Law team in 2017. Kate now advises Norfolk County Council and Norfolk’s schools in relation to education law, particularly matters relating to Special Educational Needs.Back to Our People page >
