Claire is a Lawyer, in the Public Law and Standards Team.
Claire qualified as a solicitor in July 2019, having completed her training contract at an ABS which specialised in providing legal services to public sector clients. After qualifying Claire worked in litigation where she was responsible for a large caseload, including Coroner’s inquests, Court of Protection matters, SEND Tribunal cases, judicial review, education and civil litigation. Her client’s were primarily 3 large local authorities, although she also acted on behalf of CCG’s, schools and district councils.
Prior to her training contract, Claire worked at nplaw as a legal officer in the Child Protection and Public Law and Standards Teams. She also spent a number of years working for Norfolk County Council’s Children’s Services. During this time Claire completed her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law (Bloomsbury) and achieved a distinction.
Claire has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in Public International Law. She previously worked as a research assistant at the University of Nottingham and for the United Nations in France and Cambodia.
