On qualifying as a solicitor in 1988, she specialised in property law, working on a wide variety of commercial and residential property transactions. She joined the Legal Services Department of Norfolk County Council in the late 1990s where she continued to specialise in property law. After taking a career break between 2001 and 2013, Catherine returned to nplaw.
