Andrew Howlett has wide-ranging knowledge and experience of commercial property law including:
- acquiring and disposing of freehold properties (including blighted premises);
- taking and granting new leases of a range of different types of premises including offices, shops, school buildings and sites, commercial and industrial units and workshops;
- lease renewals;
- licences to occupy, assign, underlet and carry out works;
- surrender and termination of leases and advising on tenant insolvency issues and recovery of rent and other sums due under leases.
Andrew qualified as a solicitor in 2012. Prior to this, he had been a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Legal Executives since 2004 and has worked for local authorities for over 10 years.
In addition to commercial property law, Andrew also has experience of highway law matters including rights of way and dedication and adoption of land.
