We are delighted to be offering two training courses related to compulsory purchase orders. On 5th November in London we will be presenting Compulsory Purchase Orders: The basics and beyond which will give you practical guidance on how to make a successful CPO. On 6th November we will be running a new course Compulsory Purchase Orders: Compensation in which we will look at all the main elements of compensation payments and take you through a worked example, so that you can see how the assessment of compensation works in practice. Two of our trainee solicitors, Laura Macdonald and Elute Ogedegbe, will be attending the UEA Legal Careers Fair on 8th November. nplaw attended last year for the first time and really enjoyed speaking to the students about careers in law in local government and the opportunities at nplaw for training contracts and work experience placements. On 24th November nplaw will be delivering a full-day training course on Data Protection for Schools. Aimed at schools’ senior leaders and business managers, we will be taking delegates through the main changes being introduced by the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the new Data Protection Bill and discuss what these will mean in practical terms.
