Empty Homes Network Annual Conference

Fiona Anthony and Jenni Batten attended the excellent Empty Homes Network Annual Conference on 18 October in Birmingham. We were struck by the really warm welcome we received and the professionalism and dedication of the empty homes officers who attended for all over the UK.

Fiona presented two sessions: “The latest on CPO … and more” looking at the latest changes to compulsory purchase along with other key changes in legislation and “GDPR: through the jungle: What does it really mean for empty homes work?” The GDPR session in particular proved very popular and there were lots of questions around the confidentiality and use of data.
