Broadband Delivery UK project

“nplaw provided a first class service to the Norfolk team” Karen O’Kane, Better Broadband for Norfolk Programme Director. As part of the Broadband Delivery UK project, the Department of Culture, Media and Sport awarded Norfolk County Council a £15M funding package to support the deployment of superfast broadband in Norfolk.

A team from nplaw was engaged by Norfolk County Council’s Better Broadband for Norfolk team to advise upon the complex state aid, competition law and procurement issues that accompany projects of this value and scope. This included:

• working with the DCMS in the procurement of the national framework agreement and State Aid notification;
• advising on the formulation of Norfolk’s requirements and subsequent procurement and state aid activities.
